Norman D. Beauchamp

Norm’s main area of concentration is oil and gas law. Many landowners whose property may have oil and gas deposits have benefited from informative seminars on leasing that Norm has given. He has negotiated hundreds of oil and gas leases for landowners. Norm also has represented landowners in many underground gas storage and pipeline condemnations cases. Four of Norm’s Circuit Court oil/gas cases were appealed to the Michigan Court of Appeals, all with favorable results for his landowner clients. See: Wronski vs. Sun Oil Company, 89 Mich. Norm’s practice has also focused on business matters, business formations, health care law and international law. In 1992, Norm sponsored the Kazakstan-United States-Canada Trade and Joint Venture Conference, with the result that more than 20 companies signed Protocols of Intent to do Business in Kazakhstan. Norm has traveled to Kazakhstan and Russia more than 20 times representing U.S. clients.

Norm was a trustee of Port Huron Hospital for 18 years and served as chairman of the board from 1984 to 1989. He was a trustee of St. Clair County Community College for 42 years and a past chairman. Norm was a director of the Michigan Community College Association for 32 years and is a past-president of MCCA.
